The architecture, branding and art direction studio Locatelli Pepato (Padua) has renovated its headquarters by choosing essential materials, visual continuity and natural light as design guidelines. To support the functional division of spaces without any physical interruption, the Deco Nuvolato cement floor by Isoplam.
Separate without dividing, this is the motto that guided the re-looking of the Locatelli Pepato Architecture studio in Padua and which was expressed in a few fundamental directives.
Natural light was used as a design tool. The essential construction system, in fact, is characterized by the rhythmic alternation of large glass surfaces and so the light, with its ductility, enhances the volumes of the furnishing accessories, balances light and shadow areas, emphasizes the shapes and surfaces of the internal materials.
The latter - concrete, wood, exposed bricks - used in their semi-raw state, with their evident materiality, contribute to making the spaces more welcoming, in the name of naturalness and greater living quality.
Finally, the intention of not interposing any physical division in the rooms, for total internal continuity and maximum fluidity of functions, on both floors of the Studio.
To realize all this, the horizontal surfaces, made in Deco Nuvolato by Isoplam, played a fundamental role.
Chosen in the Mineral Gray shade, the continuous cement-based coating represents the perfect synthesis of strength and lightness: from an aesthetic point of view it is characterized by delicate plays of color which from a lighter background veer towards darker nuances, from a performance point of view the components in cement, quartz and pigments resistant to light and UV rays restore all the identifying character of the concrete.
Specifically, this cement paving is able to reflect the colors and shapes of the garden, thanks to the large French windows, thus emphasizing the effect of visual extension and fusion of the indoor-outdoor boundaries.
The shaded surface and the absence of joints and joints enhance the formal cleanliness of the whole and support the compositional organization of the Studio, while at the same time facilitating cleaning and maintenance operations.
With its particular formulation, Deco Nuvolato not only guarantees floors resistant to wear, impacts and foot traffic, but also water-repellent, stain-proof and dust-proof following the addition of specific sealants and protectors.
The choice of Deco Nuvolato, therefore, perfectly matches the clean layout of the architectural shell and offers the people who live and work there the right support from a practical and technical point of view.
