The design of an industrial floor requires specific technical and aesthetic measures. On the one hand there is the need to guarantee high levels of resistance, durability and safety - both for people, and for machinery and vehicles in transit -, on the other hand, the need to offer a solution in line with architectural standards. contemporary, which requires easy maintenance and equally simple and quick cleaning (just think of the marks left by truck wheels, oil leaks, etc.).
Pavilux Corundum is the flooring that Isoplam has developed specifically for industrial and civil contexts subjected to high traffic of heavy vehicles. Composed of a selected blend based on pure corundum, German spheroidal quartz, Portland cement and Bayer oxides, it is characterized by high resistance to abrasion and wear, for its strength against accidental impacts and for its imperviousness to rolling and sliding friction.
The realization takes place by sprinkling application on fresh concrete, working the surface manually or with a mechanical trowel. On the one hand, this method reduces the formation of dust and the penetration of oils and greases - thus facilitating cleaning and maintenance operations - on the other hand, it makes the flooring extremely resistant to atmospheric agents, freezing and thawing and attack by de-icing salts.
To further raise the overall performance of the coating and satisfy specific needs, Isoplam also envisaged the possibility of applying surface finishes to Pavilux Corundum aimed at obtaining specific benefits. In fact, it is possible to request anti-oil, anti-evaporation, anti-dust, anti-salt, water-repellent or densifying treatments, as well as special precautions dedicated to the food or chemical industry.
