A world of possibilities with Isoplam® machinery

Trends in design change quickly, and year after year new materials are introduced for the creation of interiors and exteriors. Thus, the industrial style has become a real must in homes with a contemporary character. One of its distinctive features is undoubtedly represented by the use of concrete floors. But how to best create a concrete floor?

In addition to the use of high-quality raw materials, you will need to work with the right tools. Isoplam® machinery offers you a world of opportunities: each device is carefully designed for each processing phase. In our catalog you will find everything you need for the creation of your flooring including machinery for laying concrete, paving machines, trowel machines and floor smoothers. We also sell the spare parts to keep your working tools working and up to date.

Isoplam® machinery, all you need to lay a concrete floor

The best way to discover the world of Isoplam® machinery is to closely observe their use in the various stages of the creation of a concrete floor. Our highly professional tools guarantee excellent results and greatly facilitate the work of those who need to create new concrete surfaces.

The grouting and smoothing phase

The first step of the creation of a concrete floor on existing concrete substrate is characterized by the grouting and smoothing phase. It is a fundamental step that will allow you to obtain a homogeneous and uniform base on which the new flooring will subsequently be laid. What tools are needed for this delicate phase?

Isoplam® machinery offers you both milling machines and sanding machines. Let's start from the first ones.

Milling consists in removing the exceeding parts of the existing surface. Milling is necessary to modify the depth of the base on which the concrete will then be laid and to level the entire surface, thus favoring the adhesion of the new floor.

One of the most suitable tools for this operation in a home environment with small surfaces is our milling machine for restorations. Its 1,100-Watt motor guarantees all the needed power to remove even rather hard materials. At the same time, thanks to its weight of just 3.2 kg and its additional handle, it can be effortlessly used both on floors and walls and transported anywhere.

The Isoplam® milling machine for restorations also allows you to electronically adjust the number of turns based on the type of material to be removed, ensuring a precise milling depth. This machine is already prepared for connection to a suction pipe to avoid dust emissions into the surrounding space, and allows you removing old mortars and resins by simply changing the type of cutter.

Staying focused on the subject of dust emissions, the mobile aspirator for milling machine stands out among Isoplam® floor machines. It is a light vacuum cleaner, weighing just 13.9 kg with a 26-liter tank. Equipped with swivel castors, it is an easy to carry machine. The flexible hose is 3.5 meters long, while the power cable reaches a length of even 7.5 meters.

It's time to move on to sanding, which is the essential operation to make your concrete floor smooth and homogeneous. To achieve this result, a sanding machine equipped with diamond abrasive discs is used. We obviously refer to industrial diamonds available in different sizes, depending on the specific needs of the intervention. The higher the particle size number, the smaller the diamond will be.

One of the main Isoplam® sanding tools is undoubtedly the floor grinder with adjustable head. Designed for medium-small surfaces, it allows you to sand around 20-25 square meters per hour. It is very comfortable to use and transmits very little vibrations to the operator. Even in this case, it is possible to connect the machine to an Isoplam vacuum cleaner to avoid dispersing the dust in the environment. In our catalog you will also find the various abrasive discs with different grain sizes according to your needs.

How to prepare the laying of a concrete floor

After the grouting and smoothing phase, a cement primer is applied to promote adhesion of the concrete floor. Then, thick concrete is cast and leveled with a vibrating screed. Later, after the application of the armor the surface is smoothed.

The troweling acts directly on the armor incorporated in the fresh concrete through the movement of Isoplam® machinery, the coarser aggregates are pushed deeply, and the finer ones are brought to the surface and smoothed. This operation allows leveling the surface, giving it all the mechanical and aesthetic characteristics that confer concrete floors resistance and elegance.

Motorized and electric smoothers stand out in our catalogue for their troweling and smoothing activities. These so called “helicopters” are equipped with a Honda Gx engine with centrifugal clutch and start-stop safety device. They are equipped with a blade adjustment knob and an accelerator to increase the rotation speed.

All Isoplam® trowel machines are equipped with a folding handle to reduce their size and are available in different versions with disc diameters ranging from 60 to 120 centimeters. In the Isoplam® machinery catalog you will also find all various accessories for smoothing machines, such as trowel blades, light and heavy galvanized and plastic trowel discs.

However, the offer does not end here: discover all the equipment at your disposal from our catalog. Furthermore, remember that it is also possible to rent one of the many Isoplam® floor machines.
